About

My Name is Brendan Butterworth and I love creating video games. I started my love for video games very early on in life when my father introduced me to Quake and Doom. Those two games became the backbone of my passion for playing and creating games to this day. My favorite type of games are primarily first-person shooters but I also love a good 3d platformer and single player adventure games. My favorite current video game to play is Destiny 2. I began playing Destiny in it’s alpha launch back in 2014 and from the moment I played this space shooter I fell in love. Since beginning my addiction to this game I have created long lasting friendships and memories and am constantly able to scratch my itch for some competitive player versus player by playing trials of osiris.

I am a helper at heart and always do my best to support those around me, helping in whatever way I can. If someone, or myself, is going through a tough time or struggling to complete a goal of theirs I do my best to support them and see that they meet that goal they set out for themselves. This trait of mine has helped me in my previous roles as a manager at GameStop and helped build my team up to be the best store in the district, which was amazing because we were one of the lowest performing stores before I became manager. Helping my coworkers find the drive and passion to talk about games and sell them to customers was a blast and I always encouraged healthy competitions by rewarding everyone with some free starbucks or a pizza night. My team was always able to rely on me to help them when they faced a challenge they weren’t sure how to tackle. I made it a priority that the moral of my team was at an all time high as much as possible and when it started to dwindle I made sure we had fun around the store and with customers, building long lasting relationships with both parties.

On my days off from work and personal projects you can find me going on hikes around the Portland/Vancouver area, going on calming and exciting rides on my motorcycle and spending time with my friends and family. I always make sure that am giving myself that much needed break to enjoy the things around me.
